* Weekly study sessions for Actuarial Science will begin Friday, February 15, 12noon-3pm, in the University Center.  Amanda will send a mass e-mail out to all club members with the exact time and location.  The club will provide (cheap) pizza for the first meeting, and will publicize it with flyers in the Business Building.  
* All future club meetings will be held every other week in the UC, as the first hour of the study sessions.
* Amanda will be attending an information session to find out about a food booth for Fiesta UTSA
** we have decided to have chili cucumbers and cold drinks (liquados?)
** we need volunteers!
* The statistics course rotations will be published soon
** Survival Analysis will be offered sometime in the next year (possible summer or fall)
** the department will host two undergraduate information sessions (free food!) to get students informed
* We will be adding Actuarial Exams to the club exam archive, members are exploring the possibility of collecting courses exams as well

The Department of Statistics at the University of California at Irvine would like to announce its new M.S. and Ph.D. programs in Statistics, which were approved as of Fall 2006.  Our department was formed in 2002 with the selection of Hal Stern as founding chair, and since then, seven additional faculty have been recruited.

We are now accepting applications (until the January 15, 2007 deadline) for admission for Fall 2008.  For information about our department, please go to http://www.ics.uci.edu/statistics/.  Once there, click on "Graduate"  for details about our degrees.
